Dragon's Mistress singer, Tara Sinister

Los Angeles band “Dragon’s Mistress” announced Monday that they are close to making it big and they’re ready to take “this thing” seriously.  Lead singer, Tara Sinister, made the statement via a posting on Craigslist titled “LA metal band seeks guitarist and bass player”.  The post revealed that while Dragon’s Mistress already has a drummer and singer, they are looking for someone to really push them to the next level (between the ages of 22-29).

When contacted for comment, Tara Sinister had this to say: “We’re ready to tour behind our unique blend of power metal guitars and a female lead vocal.  We think crowds will be inspired when they hear us, all we need guitarist that is just as serious as we are, no messing around!”

Despite being 38 herself, Sinister feels the age requirement is a must when attracting younger audiences.  “I’ve been a singer for the past 14 years, mainly at the Flite Room in Long Beach, California – they have a weekly karaoke night, so I have a lot of experience under my belt.”

Their Myspace band profile features no actual demo tracks and only two pictures.

“We have connections with three producers in Hollywood, my cousin went to junior high with one of their kids back in ’86, so it shouldn’t be a problem.”

Dragon’s Mistress has received 12 responses and are planning to schedule formal auditions next week at their Upland, CA rehearsal space.
