Los Angeles Laker star Kobe Bryant acknowledged that he committed his first foul in nearly 4 seasons this past Saturday during the second round playoff game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“Durant was on a leading a fast break and I decided I had to stop him from getting to the basket.  I’m not sure what I was thinking, just reached out and hacked his arms with my right arm.  At first I thought I got all ball there, but then it hit me that I really just hammered his arms.”

This isn’t Bryant’s first foul of his career, he claims to have fouled an aging Dino Radja during his rookie season in 1996.  “I still remember that foul on Dino, but honestly I think he fouled me first, I couldn’t tell you how he ended up with his back on the court.”

Despite the foul, the Lakers went on to lose Saturday’s game against the Thunder, pushing them to the brink of elimination in this season’s playoffs.

“Will I foul again? I doubt it, it’s not something I make a habit of.”
